Got an ugly website you can't fix?

SA Multimedia specialized in website "do-overs". Infact nearly half of our web design customers come to us with an existing site they can't fix. Maybe their neighbors kid created it for them and went off to college. Maybe the business changed names and nobody knows how to access the old account information or web host or maybe some one created them a "flat" website from a template that now has dated information and now that they need to change it the designer either can't be found or wants more money to change the site. Well we don't do that. No site we create will be flat, meaning every site SA creates has a business logic administrator back-end that non-technical staff can update on the fly.

The advantage of a Content Management System

Content Management Systems or CMS for short offer the perfect solution for the long term health and maintenence of your web presence. Web sites, if used properly, are the cheapest and most effective form of advertising there is. When a bargain basement designer creates a template web site for you they usually create "static" pages that are fixed "as-is" at that point in time. This is in the designers best interest for two reasons, they most likely used a "canned" template which saves them effort but if the customer does not know how to code in HTML (the language of web browswers) the customer can not change the site and has to go back to the designer for changes (and typically pay them more money). SA doesn't do that. We create sites using site management code and databases that generate dynamic content. Why is this, because that makes you the business owner autonomous, it gives you the reins over your message, as it should be and takes us out of the loop once the site is established. Don't get us wrong, we are more than happy to update your content for a nominal fee but we would rather create new web sites and hand over the control of existing sites to their owners who know better than anyone what they want to say and how they want to say it. Every website we create is unique, while we may borrow a particular design or component style from another site you may like, if SA creates your site it is unique. Unlinke other designers who say "pick from the list" SA listens to you about what you want your web site to look like and do and then builds a solution and "skins" it with two or three proof layouts. You then tell us what you like and don't like and we make the changes you request. When we hand over the final product, we teach you how to log in to the back-end and make the changes to your site on-the-fly, no cryptic coding or confusing uploads, it will point and click.

Why does my business need a dynamic site?

That's easy.  While your information may not change often, it inevitably does change and some one has to keep it up to date.  You can pay some one, or you can control it yourself without learning complicated programming languages.  There are hundreds of examples of information you would need to update on a website, wouldn't rather be able to change say a phone number, email, picture or address when an employee leaves or is promoted.  Maybe your business is expanding, you might need to add a new location complete with a Google map.  You might have interesting news or offer an exciting new product or service to your clients.  The business name or logo may change; maybe even the hours of operation.  The list goes on but even more than this, search engines like Google and Yahoo and Bing are the way people find your business on the internet.  If your site never changes, crawl after crawl, those search engines begin to devalue your site.  Search engines want to deliver their users the most relevant and up to date content to out compete their competition.  Organic searc results (rank won by relevant content and not paid for) will favor sites that offer new information often.  Realistically, you have to a business to run and you are probably not going to publish daily articles but if you can keep your web site fresh with content, people are more likely to find you.  We can help with this but we can also offer search engine optimization (SEO) and marketing guidence to  "self-help" to frugal entrepenuers guidence in mastering their own web destiny and coverting web hits and effort into dollars.
